I really wanted to like these socks because they had decent comfort and compression + better ankle support than any other compression products I own, including pricier brands. Unfortunately, that ankle support doesn’t count for anything when the ability to even wear them goes so quickly.After fewer than 3 months of wear, putting them on like usual resulted in ripping a huge tear in one of the socks, right along where the ankle compression transitions into the foot area of the sock. The socks fit well and I never struggled to pull them on more than any other compression sock/sleeve. They were in regular rotation with my other compression socks for fall/early winter, worn around 12 total times.I don’t expect socks to last forever but I do expect a $20 pair of socks to last longer than 3 months/12 uses. For comparison, the CEP socks I got in the same order are every bit as comfortable and still going strong, with zero sign of serious wear, 7-8 months later (it took me a while to get around to writing this review).
Ordered this item to help with recovery from a broken ankle, fibula bone that meets at the ankle. It fit very well, sizing seems to be very accurate, and this compression sock is like other athletic socks almost to mid-calf. That is important because it fits above the ankle brace, I'm now wearing.
I thought at what they were charging I'd be getting some great compression socks to help with my lowerlegs after a couple recent surgeries. I ordered a larger size than my shoes in case of shrinkage.They were a tight fit brand new and were unwearable after the first washing.If you would normally wear a large and absolutely have to have these, I would go up to 2X.
Age 69 and these provide spring to my step without that tight tight feeling from compression socks without the regular sock material at heel and toes.
Great socks, buying again. Now let's make in other colors
I just played in these socks for the first time last week. The socks are great for quick lateral movement while playing basketball. It feels like my ankle is secured by the compression but the top doesn’t bind on my calf. I’ve never worn socks like these. Seems like they are just as important as my court shoes. Hopefully TCK will make more color options. This sock will replace all my others for sports.
After these arrived last week, I worked out in them Fri, Sat and Sun. I was really happy with them. They do visually remind me of my old high school ankle tape job. Having tried many compression socks, the focus on the area around the ankle leaving a softer toe box and heel made all the difference in putting these on (full compression can be hard to put on) and in overall comfort. Once on, you immediately feel the compression and gives you a sense of more stability. My feet hurt less during my run, walk and lift and when I took them off my feet felt re-invigorated. Highly recommend for those who have pain, swelling or that hot feeling in their feet when working out.
